(3/8-7/8” caliper bare root) Malus domestica - The most widely planted, free-standing semi-dwarf rootstock apple tree. The fruit that is mostly orange-red with a yellow background with a sweet-tart, crisp, juicy flavor. The tree exhibits an open spreading-type growth similar to peach trees in size. The trees are well-anchored, hardy and fruit well in a dry season. It has a tendency to root-sucker. Outstanding winter hardiness makes excellent potential for northern growing regions. Moderately resistant to apple scab. Non-vigorous and late blooming. Harvest early Sept.
